The beginning of year 2020 introduced noticeable changes to the area of first-aid training, as organising first-aid training courses became possible also for other organisers. KELA and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in Finland do no longer require that only Finnish Red Cross is allowed to organise first-aid training. Their websites now refer only to the criteria which all first-aid training courses are to meet.

In other words, after the renewal, first-aid training courses that are as qualified as those organised by Finnish Red Cross are now available also in the training course selection of Uudenmaan Koulutuskeskus. The first-aid training courses organised by Finnish Red Cross continue to be available in our training course selection.

Our new first-aid training courses are:

First-aid Training 4 hrs
First-aid Training 8 hrs
First-aid Training 16 hrs
First-aid Training 16 hrs (advanced)

After passing a training, you will receive an official first-aid card issued by Uudenmaan Koulutuskeskus. The card is valid for three (3) years.

The content of the first-aid training courses organised by Uudenmaan Koulutuskeskus will be in accordance with official instructions compiled by Finnish Red Cross experts. However, the renewal has to some extent liberated the content planning of first-aid training courses. For example, the focal point of the content of first-aid training courses can be customised according to your company’s needs so that the training course benefits your personnel in the best way possible.

All our instructors are first-aid and health science trainers (ETK) or emergency first-aid trainers (HEK), approved and trained by Finnish Red Cross.
